The story. Two Parish round shouldered Dreadnoughts for two Canadian military veterans, one in Nova Scotia and the other in Southern Ontario. Although the same in design, each incorporated personal details of special meaning.

Style: Carleton Parish Round Shouldered Dreadnought.
Back & Sides:
- Black Limba. Ebony bindings with black/white/black accent. Ebony & Flamed Maple end-graft with black/Maple/black accent. 12’ radius back with clear Maple accent. Traditional soundport with Bird’s Eye Maple reinforcement and clear Maple accent.
- Flamed Maple bound in Bird’s Eye Maple with black accent. Flamed & Bird’s Eye Maple end-graft with black & black/white/black accents. 12’ radius back with black-dyed Maple purfling. Falling Maple leaf soundport with black and Maple accents.
Soundboards:
- Acadian Forest custom Red Spruce (sourced from Windhorse Farm, New Germany, Nova Scotia) with black/Maple/black purfling. Custom Ebony & Flamed Maple rosette with reconstituted stone Maple leaves and black accent.
- Acadian Forest custom Red Spruce (sourced from Windhorse Farm, New Germany, Nova Scotia). Bird’s Eye & Flamed Maple rosette with black accent. Clear pickguard.
Necks:
- One-piece Honduran Mahogany. Black Limba heel cap with black/white/black accent.
- One-piece Honduran Mahogany stained. Flamed Maple heel cap with black accent.
Fingerboards:
- Richlite bound with Black Limba. 12” radius with brass & Pearloid side fret markers. Reconstituted stone Maple leaf inlays at 3,5,7,9,12,15,17, 19, and post-20th frets.
- Richlite bound with Bird’s Eye Maple. 12” radius with aluminum side markers with black dot. Reconstituted stone Maple leaf inlays at 3,5,7,9,15, 17, and 19th frets. ‘SG’ Mother of Pearl (MoP) inlay at 12th fret.
Scales:
- 25.5“, 14 fret neck-to-body, 20 frets. Gold EVO frets.
- 25.4“, 14 fret neck-to-body, 20 frets. Nickel-silver frets.
Headstock Veneers:
- Bookmatched Black Limba with black/white/black accent. Mother of Pearl (MoP) ‘JM’ logo and Wounded Warriors coin. Magnetic Black Limba trussrod cover.
- Bookmatched Flamed Maple with black accent. MoP ‘JM’ logo. Magnetic Flamed Maple trussrod cover.
Tuning Machines:
- Gold Gotoh SGL 510Z with BL5 buttons. 21:1 gear ratio.
- Silver Gotoh SGL 510Z with BL5 buttons. 21:1 gear ratio.
Bridges: Richlite. Unbleached bone saddle. Ebony bridge pins with MoP dot.
Nuts:
- 1-13/16" unbleached bone.
- 1-3/4" unbleached bone.
Finishes:
- Gloss Nitrocellulose lacquer.
- Satin Nitrocellulose lacquer.
